"A Skips in Time" is the sixth episode of season five of Regular Show. It is the one hundred twenty-second episode overall, and premiered on September 30, 2013.

Synopsis[]

Mordecai and Rigby have to help Skips return his teenage self to the 1700s.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Techmo, inside his storm-chasing car, listening to a radio emergency alert system, saying a tornado is coming. Techmo's storm chasing car has many different advanced computers and storm chasing equipment and has a bare metal exterior. He gets on top of his car to take pictures of the huge tornado, which is visible from where he is standing. He starts taking pictures when he sees a hot air balloon in the tornado with someone in it. He exclaims "Oh no!"

The scene changes to the park. The wind is blowing heavily, and trees and trash are flying all over. Benson is telling everyone to get into the tornado shelter under the house before the tornado comes. Mordecai and Rigby run over carrying a box. Benson asks them if the box has the emergency supplies in it, but instead, they say it is filled with pizza pouches. Benson is furious with them for bringing useless pizza pouches, but there is no time to yell at them. When they are about to get in the shelter, a hot air balloon crashes right behind them. A person falls out of the balloon and seems to be unconscious. Mordecai, Rigby, Benson, and Skips go to help the person inside. Once they are safely inside, they put the stranger on the ground. Mordecai lifts the hat off the person's face, revealing his face, completely lookalike of Skips, but much younger than he looks. Skips gasps in shock and disbelief. Pops asks who the person was, and Skips replies "it's me!". Everyone gasps, then the lights go out.

The scene changes to the next morning after the tornado passed. The house is a bit damaged. Skips explains that the person is him from the 1700s and that his name is Walks (It was before Skips changed his name to Skips).

When Benson asks Walks how he got there, Walks explains how he was storm chasing with Techmo in the 1700s using hot air balloons. Walks said he went too close to the tornado and got sucked in it, and that was the last thing he remembered. Skips says that he has to get him back to the 1700s, or a whole chain of events will never happen. Then the timeline would catch up, and Skips would age really fast and die. Muscle Man says he knows a guy with a time machine, so he goes out to buy it.

Skips and Walks start argue each other when Skips says that he likes to read and help people. Walks says that he would never become like that and that he would never change his name to Skips. Walks goes into the living room to find Mordecai and Rigby playing video games. Since there were no video games in the 1700s, Walks is amazed by it. Rigby gives Walks a pizza pouch, and Walks thinks it is delicious. At that moment, Pops is talking to Skips. When he notices that Skips is aging, and his face is getting wrinkled. Just then, Muscle Man and Benson come in, and Muscle Man explains that the person who sold time machines went back in time and never came back. Skips says that the only other way to get Walks back to his time is to catch up to the tornado and that only Techmo and his storm chasing equipment can do it. Just then, Techmo bursts in, saying that when he saw the tornado, which is revealed it was actually Time-nado and it is back, he knew to come straight to the park, and that he knew they had to catch up with the Time-nado. So Mordecai, Rigby, Skips, Walks, and Techmo all get into Techmo's storm chasing car to catch up with the tornado. While in the car, Skips falls on the floor and groans. Mordecai and Rigby help Skips up to see that he is aging even more. Techno and Rigby remind Skips of how many times he had saved them to talk to him. Hearing this, Walks decides that Skips wasn't all that bad after all.

The car catches up to the Time-nado, and opens a hatch on top, to where a hot air balloon is on the roof. Mordecai and Rigby climb up to the roof (where the balloon was) to help Walks into it. While Walks is going to the roof, he trips over a box, which has the pizza pouches in it (for some reason, Mordecai and Rigby brought the box with them). After Walks gets into the balloon, Mordecai notices that there is something in his shirt, and Rigby sees that it is the pizza pouches. Mordecai and Rigby both then jump into the balloon. Rigby tries to tell Walks to give the pizza pouches back, but Walks punches him, and Rigby falls back on the button to release the balloon, making it fly away into the tornado with Mordecai and Rigby in it along with Walks. Inside the tornado, they see a portal to the 1700s. But then they get hit by a piece of debris, which knocks them off, leaving the three hanging on to the side of the balloon. Walks swings off of it and into the portal, sending him back to the 1700s. As a result, in the car, Skips turns back to normal age.

When Mordecai and Rigby are still in trouble, Skips asked Tecmo if his storm chasing car can fly, and it does as Tecmo presses a button to fly. Mordecai and Rigby are still in the tornado when another portal opens up, this time showing Mordecai and Rigby in high school. They are both in danger of falling in the portal (that would take them back to high school) when Techmo's car flies in and picks them up. They fly back to the park. Once they are at the park, Skips brings Mordecai and Rigby to his garage. Inside, he opens a door to the attic that is full of stuff from his life. He gives Mordecai and Rigby a plaque that says 'Thanks Mordecai and Rigby, tally-ho!' which shows Walks with The Guardians of Eternal Youth holding the snacks Walks swiped earlier on the picture of the plaque.
