Cody is Thomas' "friend", who is an intern on the Expert or Liar TV Show until Bert Coleman's death.

How both Cody and Thomas met is unknown. It is also unknown if Cody is aware of Thomas' true nature, and if so, if he actually is an intern for the Expert or Liar TV show or a potential spy himself helping out Thomas or another robot like his “mom” from "The Thanksgiving Special".
After Rigby got humiliated on television and wanted a rematch, he helped Benson and Rigby see what the subject of an upcoming episode of Expert of Liar was. He also gave the advice that Expert or Liar can't do repeat guests.
