The Karate Duo are the characters Mordecai and Rigby play in the episode "Rage Against the TV" and they are the main protagonists in the game "The Hammer". They appear as two muscular men, one wearing red pants, and an Afro, the other wearing blue pants and a Mullet. Mordecai controls the former, while Rigby controls the latter. They fight against an evil gang, including the Triple Thugs, the Big Pink Monster, and, ultimately, The Hammer.

The Karate Duo are two pixilated and 8-bit style video game characters. They both have white undershirts, while one has red pants, with long black boots, and the other with blue pants, with short black boots. The man with the red pants has a dark brown afro, while the man with the blue pants has a light brown mullet. They both also appear to be muscular.

• The Karate Duo were inspired by the classic dual hero characters from old school fighting games, such as:
  • Ken and Ryu from Street Fighter
  • Jimmy Lee and Billy Lee from Double Dragon
  • Jack Flak and Oozie Nelson from Rival Turf
