Party Tonight is a song Mordecai and Rigby perform in the Season One episode "Mordecai and the Rigbys". Unfortunately, they realize that they have been tricked into lip-syncing the entire song.

Lyrics[]

Your eyes staring into my eyes,
Who am I but a guy with two eyes on the prize,

And the prize in my eyes is 10 times
The surprise in your eyes as I kiss you goodnight.

Your smile is the fire that rocks my soul
Gonna remember it until I grow old,
'Cause life is too short we gotta do things right,

So baby let's just partyļ»æ toni-ight.
Baby let's just partyļ»æ toni-ight.

We've come out on top, we're in front of the line,
We're here to rock out and have a good time,
'Cause the past is the past and the future is bright,

So baby let's just partyļ»æ toni-ight.
Baby let's just partyļ»æ toni-ight.

Trivia[]

  • The song was originally sung by Sean Szeles, who is a storyboarder for Regular Show, then Party Tonight was re-sung by J.G. Quintel to accommodate the appropriate scene in Mordecai and the Rigbys. Listen to Sean Szeles' version here.
  • Due to its popularity, it is considered by many to be the best song on Regular Show.
  • Upon its millionth "like," on March 10, 2012, the Regular Show Facebook page released an exclusive live-action music video featuring this song.[1] It included humanoid costumes to represent the characters, and Rigby briefly being played by a real live raccoon. Cartoon Network had also later released it on their official YouTube channel on March 12, 2012, and shown it on television during commercial breaks.
  • Even though there is a microphone for Rigby, he doesn't sing in the song itself. However, the Castillian and Korean versions of the song have Rigby providing vocals.
  • It is based on songs "Blinded by the Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band and "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits and the guitar style of the British-American musician Slash.
