Added by Llama48Planet Chasers: Starlight Excellent (Japanese:プラネット逃げる天使:スターライト優れた) is an anime tape in the episode "Brain Eraser". The tape was said to make Mordecai forget about seeing Pops nude; however, the tape took him to a world about his memories. Skips suggested that he and Rigby should go into the tape and help him. When they walk into Mordecai's Memories, they end up going to The Coffee Shop, The Park, and The Movie Shack Hut.
Trivia
Edit
- The anime tape seems to be similar to Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z and a handful of other animes. One of the characters seems to be a parody of Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Venus; the 'main character' has somewhat of a resemblance to Astro Boy.
- In addition, the show is similar to an episode of Pokémon called "Dennō Senshi Porygon" (translated into Electric Soldier Porygon) which gave hundreds upon hundreds of Japanese kids seizures, hence why Rigby said, "It's like, barfing rainbows at my eyes!" Another reason was the technique, Paka Paka, is used with red and blue flashing strobe lights.
- Coincidentally, people negatively reviewed the CN series entitled "The Problem Solverz", best known for very flashy content, bright colors, and fast-moving patterns.
- The Anime was earlier broadcasted in the US, in English, but was rarely shown due to the incident that occurred in Japan, when there were many brain seizures because of the flashing images and colours.
- The memory taking may be a way for people to watch it for hours due to it being horrible to most/some.
- The lyrics of the song played during its showing are:
- Ichi ni san shi go,
- Ichi ni san shi go,
- Ichi ni san shi go,
- Mochi mo yeah!
- In English, the first three lines are numbers 1-5.
- The video store clerk calls the anime "Planet Chasers Starlight Excellent," while Skips calls it "Planet Starlight Chasers Excellent."
- "Mochi mo yeah!" can be misinterpreted as "ikimashou", a Japanese phrase that exclamates emotion, directly translating to "Let's go!"
- It is possibly named after Odin: Photon Sailer Starlight
