It was first created in the late 1800s, but then modernized into the "record playing" record player in the early 1900s. It plays music. This record player is seen several times in Pops' room. In "Mordecai and the Rigbys", Mordecai and Rigby use this to play Pops' "How To Be a Musician" records. In "Rap It Up", Pops used this to sing his song. In "Cruisin'", Pops plays his phonograph while he washes his car.
