A Raccoon is a brown-furred animal that has sharp claws, a long tail and rings around their eyes. Rigby and his younger brother Don are raccoons. Raccoons are nocturnal which explains why Rigby is such a light sleeper. Raccoons are also known to being thieves by rummaging through trash cans and stealing garbage like Rigby does in "Free Cake" when he shows Mordecai an old plate that he found in the trash in the back and in "In the House" when he is dressed up as a robber for Halloween.
