Synopsis

Hi Five Ghost's brother turns Mordecai and Rigby into ghosts so they can break into Hi Five Ghost's birthday party, uninvited.

Plot

Mordecai and Rigby are lounging on the golf cart drinking soda and wondering what they should do for the weekend, but start to clean it when they see Benson coming. Benson tells them that Muscle Man is throwing a costume birthday party for Hi Five Ghost, but Mordecai and Rigby didn't get an invitation so they go to Mucle Man and joke saying when they should come to the party. Muscle Man says never, because they're not invited. In Mordecai and Rigby's room, as the two try to figure out why Muscle Man didn't invite them to Hive Five Ghost's party, they start reminiscing of this morning: Muscle Man was laughing because Rigby was choking; then, when Mordecai does the heimlich on Rigby, a "chokewad" flies out of Rigby's mouth and into Muscle Man's soda, splashing it all over the latter's face, causing him to go into a rage, and when Rigby brings him another soda, he accidentally trips and splashes it in Muscle Man's face too, making him even more angry.

Back to now, Mordecai and Rigby give the video game system to Muscle Man and Hi Five Ghost to try to make amends, but they are still not invited (though Muscle Man keeps the game system). Mordecai and Rigby decide to use reverse psychology but Muscle Man doesn't buy it so the two apologize again yet Muscle Man tells them to get lost, saying he has no idea what they are talking about. That night, they decide to just crash the party but the bouncer doesn't let them through; then, Hi Five Ghost's brother, Low Five Ghost, suddenly appears outside the tent where the party is being held and turns them into ghosts upon Mordecai and Rigby's request so they can get into the party. They meet up with Benson, Skips, Pops, and Hi Five Ghost. Mordecai and Rigby explain to Hi Five Ghost that his brother turned them into ghosts so they could crash the party; but, he says this is way bad because if they don't change back to normal soon, then they'll be ghosts forever. Hi Five Ghost tells Low Five Ghost to turn them back to normal, but the latter doesn't know how to yet their dad might. Their father tells Mordecai and Rigby that they have to scare somebody in order to return to normal so they decide to scare Muscle Man, since he doesn't know they're at the party (or so they think). When Muscle Man goes into the bathroom, Mordecai and Rigby jump out and spook the former; as a result, he goes into a heart attack and they yell for a doctor. Hi Five Ghost's Father tries to revive Muscle Man but it is (supposedly) too late; suddenly, Muscle Man then wakes saying that it was all an elaborate prank because of the soda incident from earlier. Mordecai and Rigby cannot believe Muscle Man did all this just because they splashed soda in his face but then Muscle Man starts choking from laughing. Mordecai (unwillingly) heimlichs him and Muscle Man thanks Mordecai for saving his life (for real). He then throws a tape into the tape deck, but misses and puts it in manually. Muscle Man then (uncharacteristically) apologizes to Mordecai and Rigby for the whole prank, and gives them their game system back, but Mordecai notices that it's just paper machete (papier-mâché). Muscle Man says that he sold the real game system to a pawnshop as part of the prank, making them more angry but Muscle Man then whips out the real game system, saying "Gotcha, dudes".
