"Silver Dude" is the second episode of season five (and one hundred-eightieth episode overall) of Regular Show. It aired on September 2, 2013.
Mordecai and Rigby try street-performing to earn money for a video game, but must face off against a rival performer using audio recordings of their routine to his own advantage.
The episode begins showing Mordecai and Rigby, many years ago, playing the game Zombies Return. Then it shows them in present day, at the park in the living room. As they are watching TV, they see the trailer for the new Zombies Return (4). Mordecai and Rigby both decide to get the game, however, the game cost $49.99 and they don't have money for it.
The duo then decides to find a way to make some money, by asking Benson if there is any jobs that need to be done. Benson then assigns them to wax the kitchen floor, completely spotless, and then he will pay them, however, they do it wrong by squirting a bunch of wax on the floor without moving the furniture. Mordecai then hears the sound of coins, and discover a silver man street perfroming for money.
Mordecai and Rigby then plan on street performing on their own. First, Rigby wanted to copy what Sliver Dude was doing, until Mordecai tells him they can't because ripping off is not cool so they decide to show off their rapping skills. This angers Silver Dude as the crowd's attention is turned towards Mordecai and Rigby. The crowd is impressed and they start putting their money in Mordecai and Rigby's sombrerro. The scene changes to Mordecai and Rigby at Cheezers, counting the profit that they got. Mordecai finds out that he and Rigby only have to perform a few more songs and the game is their's. Rigby said they should make this their job until Mordecai point out if they make it their new job they will soon start to hate it and it better if they make it temperary.
Back at the park, the duo discovers that the silver dude is starting to rip off their rap songs, by remixing them into something of his own. They walk up to him and tell him to stop copying them, but the silver dude insists that he's not, and that being silver is "different". Rigby tries to tell him that it's the same thing, but with a different color. The silver dude claims that it's "street law". The duo then warns him to stay away from them.
The scene changes to them standing by the park gates, in hopes that they can still make some money without the silver dude copying their music. Their plan backfires when the people start to think that Mordecai and Rigby are the ones ripping off Silver Dude. Enraged, Mordecai and Rigby confront him again. He tries to defend himself once again, causing Rigby to lunge at him, creating a small fight. The fight is inturuppted when an Uncle Sam like drawing on the street comes to life as the God of Street Performing.
He asks the trio what the problem is, and Rigby tells him that the silver dude is stealing their act. The God of Street Performing then sets up a Street Performing Competition, pitting Mordecai and Rigby against the silver dude. Mordecai and Rigby then rap new songs, with Silver Dude playing them back. They soon began to rap a perfect song how Sliver Dude is just a copy cat and not creative at all without his boom box. The song destroy his boom box and they get the money. Sliver Dude tried to rap on his own but it was terrible and he was booed by everyone and he tried to take the money by force. The god then places the silver dude into street jail, by turning him into a mime and trapping him in the "invisible box".
In the last scene of the episode, Mordecai, Rigby and the god are seen in the house with Mordecai and Rigby playing Zombies Return 4 and the god doing splits on the living room floor. The episode ends with Benson walking in the room and telling Mordecai and Rigby to vaccuum the floor, mostly the spot where the god is doing the splits.
