  • The title and the plot may refer to the Nightmare on Elm Street sequel "Dream Warriors", and the Dokken song written for said sequel.
    • This may have a connection with Robert Englund, known for playing Freddy Kruger, portraying Anti-Pops.
  • The song that Benson puts to Pairulito is by singer and guitarist Joe Satriani, is the song "Always With Me, Always With You", released in 1987.
  • Mordecai and Rigby try to calm Pops down by watching an old cartoon called "Funky Wunky and the Groovy Gang", which is a parody of Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!.
