"The Lunch Club" is the third episode in Season Seven (and one hundred and eighty forth overall) of Regular Show. It first aired on August 13, 2015.

Synopsis[]

Mr Maellard plans a huge brunch party, but when Rigby destroys the super expensive dessert, Benson or Rigby must write a resignation letter.

Plot[]

Episode starts with the park, where Mr. Maellard made his huge brunch party for his extravagant friends. After giving them a huge million dollar cake, suddenly the lawnmower appears with a sleepy Rigby, they have unwittingly destroyed the dessert and ruining brunch, infuriating Maellard and Benson.

In the office, Benson furiously scold Rigby for screwing up. Maellard blames Benson, because he is a big screw up and he can't manage him. Maellard decides that one of them is going to sign a resignation letter. If they leave the office, he threatens to fire them both.

After he leaves, Benson blames Rigby for destroying the dessert, as Rigby blames Benson for "dismanaging" him. As the hours pass, Rigby heads into his room to get a few things after he is going to get fired, but Benson tells him they have to stay in the office. Someone's coming, they hide. But they quickly relieved that it was Mordecai and Skips. Confused, Mordecai asks what both of them are doing, because he thinks that Maellard is going to fire them. Rigby scoffs, thinking that Maellard is just bluffing, but Pops, off-screen, begs his father not to fire them.

They sneak out the window and head back to the office, Benson almost falls off the roof but Rigby saved him before Maellard came back to the office. Benson thanks Rigby for helping him out. Rigby takes out a box of hot wings and decides to eat them cold. Benson reluctantly grabbed the box and snuck into the kitchen to cook them. As they start, Benson sings a song of microwave wings, it annoys Rigby. After they cooked the wings, they snuck back to Benson's office.

They decide to have some fun and tell each other some personal problems they've been through and soon realize they actually do respect one another. In the end, they both resign. Leaving Maellard an insulting letter. Maellard is unable to read it, because of his vision of his current age, so he hands it to Pops. Pops lies and said that it was a nice note. To make sure Maellard doesn't find out otherwise, he eats the letter. Maellard decides to not fire any of them.
